Marilyn graduated from Grinnell College in Iowa as an Honors History major. She stayed in Iowa and graduated with distinction from the University of Iowa Law School in two years. Marilyn’s writing skills allowed her to get her first job as a legal writing instructor at IIT/Chicago-Kent College of Law. She then worked as an Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of Chicago’s Torts Division where she represented the City in complex personal injury cases. Marilyn then worked for business litigation firms and taught a legal writing class at DePaul University College of Law. In 1993, Marilyn joined Robert and David Kosin at Kosin Law where she concentrated on representing individuals injured at work and ran the firm’s personal injury and appellate departments.
Marilyn is an Arbitrator for the Cook County Municipal Mandatory Arbitration Program. She is also a member of the Workers’ Compensation Lawyers Association and Illinois State Bar Association.
