Brendan Bresnahan earned a Bachelor of the Arts degree from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, with a double major in English and Political Science. He also played ice hockey for the Fighting Illini. After his time in Urbana-Champaign, Brendan earned a Juris Doctorate from Chicago-Kent College of Law. Upon graduation from law school, Brendan served as a Staff Attorney to the Honorable Judge Deborah Mary Dooling in the Jury Trial Section of the Law Division, of the Circuit Court Cook County.
Brendan concentrates his practice exclusively on representing injured workers throughout Illinois. Brendan has litigated workers’ compensation claims from arbitration, through Circuit and Appellate Courts. Prior to representing injured workers, Brendan defended employers against workers’ compensation claims giving him invaluable knowledge of insurance companies’ and their attorneys’ tactics and strategies.
Brendan is fluent in Spanish, and studied Mexican and International Law at the prestigious Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey in Mexico City, Mexico.
Brendan is a USA Hockey Certified Level 3 Hockey Coach, and volunteers as a coach for Hockey is for Everyone (NHL Diversity Program).
